The Association was founded in 2018 by the Palmisano brothers, breeders active for several generations in our territory.
Taking care of animals, especially donkeys, over the years the Palmisano brothers – Mary, Giovanni, Zino, Fabio and Rosita – have been able to observe the benefits that this animal can bring to man and especially to children.
Hence, the idea of letting everyone know the qualities of this animal, which for centuries has been considered only as a working animal.
The aim of the Association L’Aia che raglia (a name that well encapsulates the meaning of the project) is to enhance the donkey and its skills, placing it in a social context, within circuits dedicated to rural tourism with the enhancement of the territory and the donkey breed, the educational farm, but especially to “pet therapy” and socialization. In fact, the donkey immediately creates a certain empathy with man, establishing a sense of security and reliability.
The Association already participates in various social events: such as the donkey parade between Contrade; the contribution to the Giugno Fasanese committee for the participation in the historical parade “La scamiciata”; the collaboration with the association Menti Ardenti.
